MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives approved on third and final reading a bill seeking to rename Terminals 1 and 2 of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in honor of Filipino hero Lapu-Lapu.
With 195 affirmative votes, the lower chamber approved House Bill No. 8986 on final reading during Thursday’s session.
The measure aims to rename the domestic and the international terminals of the Mactan Cebu International Airport to Lapu-Lapu Domestic Terminal and Lapu-Lapu International Terminal, respectively.
