LEGAZPI CITY —- The Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol said that 206 people on Sunday got infected with COVID-19 in the region, the highest number recorded so far since the pandemic started last year.
Authorities renewed the call to the public to take the necessary precautions to prevent the further spread of the virus after DOH Bicol said the active cases in the region now total 2,921.
The agency also recorded 19 recoveries and three deaths on Sunday.
The COVID bulletin said Camarines Sur province had the highest number of cases, with 116. These cases are in 20 towns and the cities of Naga (29) and Iriga (seven).
