Bicol gets more vaccines for medical frontliners

LEGAZPI CITY —- Bicol received on Thursday the fourth batch of anti-COVID vaccines composed of 20,400 vials of the CoronaVac to inoculate more medical frontliners in the region, the Department of Health (DOH) here said.

The vaccines, manufactured by the Beijing-based Sinovac Biotech Ltd., were packed in 17 boxes containing 1,200 vials per box. They arrived at the Legazpi Domestic Airport aboard a Philippine Airlines commercial flight from Manila at 9:47 a.m.

The vaccines were immediately brought to the DOH storage facility in this city for inventory and distribution to the six Bicol provinces, said DOH Bicol public affairs chief Noemi Bron.
