THE BUREAU of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) removed warnings issued in the areas of San Pedro Bay in Western Samar, Matarinao Bay in Eastern Samar, and Biliran Islands after testing negative for paralytic shellfish poison or red tide.
In its 26th shellfish bulletin, BFAR said areas still affected by red tide include Milagros in Masbate, Dauis and Tagbilaran City in Bohol, Carigaya Bay in Leyte, Dumanquillas Bay in Zamboanga del Sur, Murcielagos Bay in Zamboanga del Norte, and Lianga Bay in Surigao del Sur. — Revin Mikhael D.
