Bataan restricts visit to Mt. Samat Shrine

PILAR, Bataan—Authorities are limiting visits to the Mt. Samat Shrine of Valor to only 200 persons at a time and barring tourists from other places to prevent the surge of COVID-19 in other places from reaching this town.

According to Mayor Charlie Pizarro, the shrine, which honors the bravery of World War II soldiers, is now heavily guarded against tourists from other provinces.

“We can accommodate only local residents in the meantime that COVID-19 cases are on the rise,” Pizarro told reporters here.
