TACLOBAN CITY — Another patient from Eastern Visayas died of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the death toll in the region to 96.
According to the regional office of the Department of Health (DOH), the latest fatality involved a 31-year-old woman from San Sebastian town in Samar province.
The woman died last December 6.
San Sebastian Mayor Eleuterio Mabag issued Monday a memorandum to temporarily close their municipal building after one of the employees tested positive for COVID-19, a respiratory ailment caused by SARS-CoV-2.
