MANILA, Philippines — Family reunions are considered mass gatherings that are discouraged this Christmas season, Secretary Eduardo Ao, of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), said Monday night.
In a televised briefing, Ao reminded the public that mass gatherings are prohibited as the country continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic.
“Katulad ng plano na hindi papayagan ang Christmas party, hindi rin papayagan ang Christmas caroling, walang mass gathering, ‘yung family reunion ay isang considered na mass gathering,” Ao said.
