Año: Minors still banned from malls until LGUs issue resolution

MANILA, Philippines — Interior Secretary Eduardo Ao on Tuesday confirmed that minors are still prohibited from going to malls, especially in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ), until local government units come up with their respective resolutions or ordinances.

Ao made the clarification after Metro Manila police chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao said minors in areas under GCQ are still banned in malls.

“Yes, that’s right. Kailangan lumabas muna ang resolution nila [LGUs],” he told INQUIRER.net in a Viber message.
