MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck off Davao Occidental Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said it traced the epicenter of the earthquake 368 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at a depth of 41 kilometers.
The earthquake, recorded at 8:43 a.m., was of tectonic origin, according to Phivolcs.
Phivolcs said no damage is expected from the quake but aftershocks may occur.
