MANILA, Philippines — “He’s best in the boxing ring, and probably not as good elsewhere.”
This is how presidential spokesperson Harry Roque wished boxer-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao luck on his upcoming fight with Errol Spence in August.
“We wish all Filipinos the best of luck in whatever they do best, and pagdating kay Manny Pacquiao, he’s best in the boxing ring, and probably not as good elsewhere,” he said in a press briefing.
The administration is currently at odds with Pacquiao after the senator started to criticize the government, recently accusing it of corruption.
