Caloocan City targets to vaccinate 600 tricycle drivers with Moderna

MANILA, Philippines — The Caloocan City government is aiming to inoculate a total of 600 tricycle drivers with the Moderna vaccine to immunize them against COVID-19.

Mayor Oscar Malapitan said the vaccination already started Monday morning at Camarin D Elementary School in Barangay 178 and will continue until 4:00 p.m.

“Our tricycle drivers are counted as essential workers and economic frontlines,” he said in a statement.

The local government allows walk-in appointments for all tricycle drivers who reside in North Caloocan, who only need to bring a valid ID and their own ballpen.
