LPA enters PAR, Pagasa sees no major threat

MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) being tracked by the state weather bureau has entered the Philippine area of responsibility early Thursday.

The LPA was last spotted 1,365 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 5 a.m. bulletin.

Pagasa, however, said it doesn’t expect the weather disturbance to intensify in the next 24 hours and expects the same to dissipate in the next 48 hours.

Meantime, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain…
