Nearly 100,000 doses of Moderna vaccine to arrive on Tuesday, June 29

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 99,600 doses of Moderna vaccine will arrive in the country on Tuesday, June 29, Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the country’s vaccine manager, reported Monday during weekly Palace briefing on the COVID-19 situation in the Philippines.

“Before the end of the month, the additional doses of Moderna will arrive. We will give these to OFWs [overseas Filipino workers] and seafarers as promised,” Galvez said in Filipino. “And also for the frontliners. Our different government employees really need these.”

This is the second batch of Moderna vaccines that will arrive in the country this month.
