MANILA, Philippines—The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way airports operate in the Philippines and elsewhere, unleashing protocol that passengers may find cumbersome but officials consider as indispensable in the fight to prevent transmission of SARS Cov2, which causes COVID-19, and its variants.
In the process of enforcing the health protocols, however, passenger convenience or comfort often becomes the price to pay.
