MANILA, Philipines — President Rodrigo Duterte praised local construction group Megawide Corp. for its rebuilding and management efforts on the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, now currently lauded as the country’s best airport of its kind.
“I am most proud to be a worker of a government that has produced something this beautiful and this good for the people,” Duterte said in a recent speech.
“Megawide may go on bidding and will not encounter any issues,” he added, noting the firm’s “good track record.”
