MANILA, Philippines — Malacaang on Thursday said pending investigation, it is “unfair” to link government agencies to cyberattacks against websites of two alternative media outlets and a human rights group.
Qurium Media Foundation, a digital forensic group based in Sweden, traced the recent cyberattacks on the websites of media outlets Bulatlat and Altermidya and rights group Karapatan to the computer networks of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Army. The cyberattacks temporarily blocked access to the three websites.
