Manila’s Vaccine Express inoculates over 4,500 persons vs COVID-19 – Robredo

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 4,599 individuals got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through the Vaccine Express, a drive-through facility at the Cultural Center of the Philippines launched jointly by the Manila City Hall and the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Most of the vaccine recipients were tricycle drivers and delivery riders, according to Vice President Leni Robredo, who broke the news on her Twitter account on Wednesday.

“This was made possible by the power of collaboration,” Robredo said in her tweet, thanking Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, her staff and volunteers, and their private partners — among them UBE Express, Seaoil, Shell, Smart.
