Delay in Sputnik V delivery aborts second dose inoculation in Mandaluyong, Manila

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Mandaluyong announced Wednesday it is still waiting for the next supply of the Russian’s Sputnik V for its residents’ second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Para sa mga nabakunahan ng Gamaleya Sputnik V noong June to 2, 3 at 4, ang supply ng second dose mula sa DOH (Department of Health) ay hinihintay pa natin,” the local government said in a Facebook notice.

(For those vaccinated with Gamaleya Sputnik V on June 2, 3 and 4, we are still waiting for the supply of the second dose from the DOH.)

It added that the interval between the first and second dose can be stretched from 21 days until 90 days or three months.
