MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will open 10 temporary satellite offices to address the high demand for passport services and curb the proliferation of online advertisements offering fake passport appointment slots and tampered documents for a fee.
“We want to assure the public that ten temporary satellite offices will be opened very soon to create additional passport appointment slots,” said Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs Brigido J. Dulay in a statement on Monday.
