MANILA, Philippines — For Senate President Vicente Sotto III, there are only two paths to go in 2022: Go for a higher post or retire from politics.
“It’s either I run for higher office or retire. I’m done with the Senate. I already have 24 years. I cannot run anyway in 2022. That’s the end of my fourth term,” Sotto said in an interview with INQside Look when asked about his plans for the upcoming national elections next year.
Sotto expressed beliefs that he will be “more effective” as a vice president than as a president, with one of his primary campaigns being on the implementation ofdrug abuse resistance education in the whole country.
