LUCENA CITY — The mayor’s office of Guinayangan, Quezon province was temporarily shut down on Monday after one of its employees contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“We are advised by our MHO (Municipal Health Office) to isolate ourselves. One of our office workers turned out positive,” Mayor Cesar Isaac III said on social media on Sunday afternoon.
He said his staff will work from home to pave the way for the thorough disinfection of the office.
A help desk will be placed outside of the mayor’s office to assist the public during the shutdown.
