DAVAO CITY—Mayor Sara Duterte branded as politicking the comment of Vice President Leni Robredo over the rising COVID-19 cases in the city.
“The VP should avoid involving the COVID-19 surge in Davao City in her attempt at politicking,” Duterte said in a statement. She said Robredo must not give “advice if she (knew) nothing about what is happening on the ground.”
On Sunday, Robredo suggested that the Davao city government should learn from Cebu in fighting the surge of infection, which she considered alarming.
