Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray encouraged the public to “play a part in writing our future” by registering as voters for the upcoming 2022 national elections.
“The fight for freedom and independence is a constant and enduring one,” Gray said on her Instagram page as she marked the Philippines’ Independence Day yesterday, June 12. The beauty queen can be seen in front of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) logo wearing a mask and face shield, with her thumb raised and covered in purple ink, which suggests that she has registered.
“Today let’s not just look back on history but instead ask ourselves how we are playing a part in writing our future,” she added.
