MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines on Sunday logged 7,302 COVID-19 cases, bringing the caseload to 1,315,639, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.
Of the total cases, 59,865 infections or 4.6 percent are still tagged as “active cases,” but most of them, or 95.7 percent, only have mild or have no symptoms.
There are 7,701 who recuperated from the disease, bringing the recovery count to 1,232,986, or 93.7 percent of all cases.
The death toll is now at 22,788 or 1.73 percent, after 137 more died on Sunday.
DOHsaid all laboratories were operational and one laboratory was not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System.
