MedTech association in US seeks review of PH deployment cap for health workers

MANILA, Philippines — An association of medical technologists based in the United States is appealing to the Philippine government to review the deployment cap for medical professionals.

Angela Librado-Trinidad, Labor Attache of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Washington D.C., said Friday that POLO officials recently had a meeting with the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) on the latter’s request for review of the deployment limit.

She said PAMET told them that the US currently has a demand for 110,000 medical technologists.
