MANILA, Philippines — Former Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay on Tuesday said that the guilty judgment against former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV should serve as a warning to politicians to stop using smear campaign against rivals.
Binay also said that the court’s decision should also serve as a reminder to Trillanes that being a legislator “is not a license to destroy reputations.”
