CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental, Philippines — The Northern Mindanao Police Regional Office expects more applicants to the service as the law recently signed by President Rodrigo Duterte has loweed the minimum height requirement for officers.
Republic Act No. 549 also applies to those entering the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Bureau of Corrections.
For men, the minimum height requirement was lowered from 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 2 inches. For women, it was lowered from 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet.
