Pilot killed in trainer plane crash in La Union

MANILA, Philippines—A trainer plane crashed in waters off Caba town, La Union province, killing its pilot around noon on Wednesday (May 26).

 

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the aircraft was a P-2010 (RP-C8230) trainer plane.

 

The plane took off in Iba, Zambales and was supposed to stop over at the airports of La Union and Lingayen town, Pangasinan province then head back to Iba.

 

The pilot, a student of First Aviation Academy in Subic, was brought to the Caba Municipal Health Office where he was pronounced dead by doctors, according to a separate report of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
