MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government on Wednesday opened its ninth vaccination site, turning premium cinemas into vaccination hubs, as the local government aims to reach a target of 5,000 daily inoculation against COVID-19 beginning next week.
Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano, through a private company partnership, launched the Venice Grand Canal Mall vaccination hub.
The mall’s Cinema 1 and 5 had been transformed into a site where health workers can administer the initial 200 shots, the city’s public information office told INQUIRER.net.
The city’s goal is to vaccinate a target of 400 individuals at the cinema vaccination hubs in the coming days.
