MANILA, Philippines — The average new COVID-19 cases per day in the National Capital Region (NCR) decreased by 30 percent over the past week, experts from the OCTA Research group reported Saturday.

In its May 15 bulletin, OCTA Research said that average new COVID-19 cases per day in Metro Manila from May 9 to May 14 was at 1,644, a 30 percent decline from the pervious week.
“The reproduction number in NCR decreased to 0.57 while the positivity rate in the NCR was down to 12 percent,” OCTA Research said.
The average daily attack rate (ADAR) in NCR also decreased below 12 per 100,000, it added.
