LPA east of Davao unlikely to evolve into tropical cyclone – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines —A low-pressure system east of Davao City in Mindanao is not expected to form into a tropical depression as all signs point to it dissipating before it reaches shore.

Weather information from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Wednesday afternoon indicated that the LPA was last plotted 495 kilometers east of Davao, lying along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

These two weather systems are expected to bring cloudy skies and rains over Mindanao and parts of Visayas, especially its eastern portion.
