MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 claimed the life of another Filipino staying overseas, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Wednesday, adding that two more contracted the virus abroad.

According to its latest bulletin, the new coronavirus disease death toll among Filipino communities overseas is now at 1,162 while the total case count reached 18,571 as of May 12, including 6,043 active cases.

No new recoveries were reported by the DFA, leaving the tally to remain at 11,366.
