MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health on Wednesday is rationalizing the two million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine provided by the COVAX Facility, considering that the jabs are expected to reach their expiry by June and July.
According to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III,1.5 million doses from the COVAX’s AstraZeneca allocation will be used as first doses, while over 500,000 will be administered as second doses to those already vaccinated with the product in March and April.
