MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday lamented the “pathetic” situation among the Filipino voters, who he said can be easily swayed by stage performances shown by candidates during campaigns.
“A problem with our electorate, madaling ma-sway dun sa mga jokes, yung mga Budots, yung TikTok. Medyo shallow,” Lacson said in an interview over ABS-CBN News Channel, referring to the popular dance craze and social networking app, respectively.
“Ang nagma-matter dito yung political advertisements, yung stage, kumakanta, sumasayaw. So it’s really, I would say it’s pathetic na ganun yung situation,” he added.
