MANILA, Philippines — The government’s COVID-19 task force has reverted the quarantine status of the provinces of Cagayan, Apayao and Benguet to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) beginning this Monday, May 10 until May 23, 2021 amid soaring coronavirus cases.
All three provinces were initially under the more lenient general community quarantine (GCQ) for the month of May.
The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reclassified the said areas’ quarantine status in a resolution dated May 9, but only made public on Monday.
