MANILA, Philippines — As Police Major General Debold Sinas steps down as chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Interior Secretary Eduardo Ao said Friday President Rodrigo Duterte would give the retiring police officer a new post.
Ao made the remark at the change of command ceremony in Camp Crame, where Sinas relinquished his post as PNP chief in time for his retirement.
“Hangad naming magampanan mo pa ang mga tungkuling iyong pansamantalang naisantabi at magkaroon ka ng sariling oras para sa pamilya at iba pang bagay na nais mong gawin pero ang narinig ko noong isang gabi kay Pangulong Duterte, ikaw raw ay bibigyan ng bagong trabaho,” Ao said.
