LUCENA CITY —- Five more COVID-19 patients died in Quezon province on Wednesday, May 5. These include two older persons in the island town of Quezon, health officials said.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported that aside from the 92-year-old male and 70-year-old female, three more confirmed virus carriers, one each in the cities of Lucena and Tayabas and the municipality of Guinayangan, succumbed to the illness.
The COVID-19 death toll in the province now stands at 416. The IPHO records showed that 18 COVID-19 patients died from May 1 to 5.
Last month, the province recorded 114 fatalities and 28 in March.
