LUCENA CITY — A seven new deaths due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were recorded in Quezon, bringing the province’s death toll to 381, authorities reported Sunday.
The Quezon municipal interagency task force said one of the deaths, a 72-year-old woman from the island town of Quezon, died in a medical facility five days after she showed COVID-19 symptoms.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported on Saturday that two confirmed virus carriers in Lucena City and one each in Tayabas City, Tiaong and Infanta towns passed away due to COVID-19.
On April 23, an old woman from Quezon and another one in Lucban town were also added to the death toll.
