MANILA, Philippines— Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta has announced his early retirement effective March 27, 2021, his 69th birthday.
A source said the announcement was made during the high court’s en banc session.
Peralta was supposed to retire in 2022 at the mandatory retirement age of 70.
