DAGUPAN CITY—San Fernando City and four towns in La Union province have been placed under the least restrictive general community quarantine (GCQ) from April 24 to May 7, officials said.
San Fernando City Mayor Alfredo Ortega issued an executive order lowering the city’s quarantine status to GCQ.
But Ortega said strict measures to prevent the local transmission of SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, would still be enforced.
San Fernando had been on modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the second most stringent quarantine level, from April 10 to 23.
