LUCENA CITY —- Quezon recorded 163 patients who beat the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, the highest single-day recovery record in the province.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported at 5 p.m. Thursday that the 63 recoveries outnumbered the 61 new COVID-19 cases.
The newly healed patients brought down the current number of active cases in the province to 999 from 1,156 on April 18.
From March last year until April 22, Quezon, now under general community quarantine, recorded 8,457 recoveries (86 percent) out of 9,830 COVID-19 cases.
