Angeles City gov’t gives free wifi to 65,000 public school students

ANGELES CITY —- The local government here began distributing on Monday (April 19) free Internet cards to 65,000 Grades 4 to 12 students in the city’s public schools for their online learning.

The cards, which are for three-year use, give the pupils access to 700 WiFi spots for free internet connection, Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said in a phone interview.

“They get a free, unlimited, and stable WiFi connection and this makes their learning faster,” Lazatin said. One access point provides 50 to 100 Mbps.
