LEGAZPI CITY —- Local governments in Albay suspended work and online classes on Monday due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon “Bising” (international name Surigae).
In Legazpi City, Mayor Noel Rosal suspended work in private and government offices, except those delivering essential health and social services, like grocery stores and drugstores.
In neighboring Daraga town, Mayor Victor Perete said work in government offices was suspended, except for those engaged in health, disaster risk management, and public order.
Perete said he also suspended the synchronous and asynchronous classes at all levels.
