COVID-19 spreads to 4 households in Zambales town; 17 infected

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales —- Over 20 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were added to the rising number of infections in this province. Most of them belong to the same households in a town, authorities said on April 15.

In an advisory, Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said 17 of the 23 new cases were members of four families in Castillejos town.

He said an 80-year-old woman in Barangay Sta. Maria transmitted the virus to her 84-year-old husband, 43-year-old daughter, and three grandchildren aged 21, 7, and 4.

In Barangay San Agustin, a 64-year-old midwife at a public facility had infected her 26-year-old daughter and two grandchildren aged 14 and 8. Her 1…
