LEGAZPI CITY—The Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol on Wednesday (April 14) urged officials to step up the campaign against COVID-19 following a surge in cases which the DOH said could raise the region’s risk classification to moderate risk.
Areas tagged as moderate risk are usually on general community quarantine (GCQ). Bicol is currently on modified GCQ.
The DOH told members of the Bicol Interagency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (BIATF) and local officials that based on a study of risk levels, the provinces of Camarines Sur, Sorsogon and Albay were considered to be moderate risk and could be candidates for GCQ.
