Isabela province logs highest single-day COVID-19 death toll at 14

CITY OF ILAGAN —- Fourteen people died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Isabela on Thursday, the highest single-day record of the province since the pandemic began, authorities said.

Local health data shows that the fatalities were aged 40 to 70 and had ailments when COVID-19 infected them.

The province now has 181 deaths related to the disease since last year.

Gov. Rodolfo Albano III said in a statement that the dead patients’ kin would get aid from the provincial government.
