SUBIC BAY FREEPORT—The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has closed a gym and fitness center here which allegedly violated health protocols for COVID-19.
In a statement on Thursday (April 8), Ronnie Yambao, SBMA deputy administrator for health and safety, said the Victory Gym and Athletic Club was ordered to cease operations for two weeks as penalty for a first offense.
Yambao said his office received a series of verified complaints that gym customers were not wearing face masks and not heeding social distancing during workouts.
