MANILA, Philippines—Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana has gone on isolation after testing positive for SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and which was first found in China.
He said he has no symptoms. “Thank God,” he said in a message to reporters.
Results of his coronavirus tests came out on Tuesday (April 6).
“I will be undergoing isolation, following the quarantine guidelines to avoid infecting others. Those who have been exposed to me have been informed,” the 72-year-old Cabinet official said in a statement.
Those who came in close contact with Lorenzana have been advised to isolate and get tested.
