It was 2018 when Marice Sta. Maria, then a freshman, picked up a flyer from the Sanggunian (Ateneo de Manila’s college student council) tent amid the bustle of the Recweek festivities. On the flyer was a list of projects being launched, including Humans of Ateneo (HoA), inspired by Brandon Stanton’s critically acclaimed Humans of New York.
HoA would go on to become a valiant success, the humble journey of which Sta. Maria recounts heartily.
