MANILA, Philippines — Larry Fonacier is gearing up for a comeback in the PBA after being sidelined for a year.
NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao, in an interview with PBA.ph, said Fonacier is in the process of getting ready for the rigors of the league after the 38-year-old shooter begged off from joining the team in the 2020 Philippine Cup.
Fonacier’s contract with the Road Warriors also expired at the end of the season.
“He’s getting himself into the right condition,” said Guiao in Filipino. “He’s hoping to be back in the second conference (Governors’ Cup).”
“He was gone for one year so he’s trying to gauge himself and if he can still make a contribution to the team.”
